Saturday I went out for a tune up as I was planning to do a leg on the Knobstone Sunday. I opted for dirt, roots, and rocks because that is what the Knobstone is. These are all places we have been, so I won’t bore you with details.

I started at Ricthey Woods. What a beautiful day. Scarcely anyone around. I saw a dozen deer in the swamp area. I was able to stop and watch them watch me for a few minutes.

Next I went to Hague Road Nature Preserve. Muddy and wet.

I finished up at Macgregor Park. This place is great. I saw something that really set my mind in motion. I will write about that separately, under the title Social Contract.

All in all, it was a good walk (3), a beautiful January day, and a lot of fun.
